PvE in WoW TBC is all about the “correct” spec and class. Let’s say, you are leveling a druid hoping to pump as a feral DPS in raids. But it will take another month to level up to 70 and get pre-raid gear. You will skip questing and running through levels 1-70, and your character may be already geared and ready for raids! In this case, you will even skip running through normals and heroics and can rush straight into current raids.
It is not a secret that some classes and specs do exceptionally well in PvE while others are not that good. For example, shamans of all specs are in high demand throughout the entire expansion. Destruction warlocks, BM hunters, arcane mages are exceptional damage dealers in TBC. It is not uncommon to see 4 shadowbolt cannons and lots of hunters in raids. However, a retribution paladin is very weak as DPS and probably gets only one spot for a raid-wide damage buff. The same story is with feral dps and his crit buff for melees.
