Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) Guidance
MAKING REQUEST
Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) and The Data Protection Act 2018 (UK), individuals have the right to access their personal data and supplementary information, subject to certain restrictions.
If you wish to make a request, you can do so by:
• Contacting our Data Protection Officer at a@funpay.com
You don’t have to follow any particular form or precedent when making such requests.
Please supply as much detail as possible in order that we provide the most relevant information in relation to your request.
VERIFICATION
We can ask you to provide us with your identification documents, such as your current passport or driving license. We might need this information to make sure we are sending information to the right person.
Each DSAR will be analysed on a case-by-case approach, so we might need additional evidence to prove your identity.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Under the general rule, Data Subject Access Requests are free of charge; however, we might charge the maximum $10 fee for dealing with requests that are found to be manifestly unfounded or excessive. These requests can include complex or malicious requests that make such requests unfounded. You can refer to the relevant explanation provided by the ICO (‘What does manifestly unfounded mean?’).
The $10 fee is based on the administrative costs of dealing with manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.
Each DSAR will be analysed on a case-by-case approach and all the circumstances of the request will be taken into account. You will be notified if the $10 fee applies to your request.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
We aim to respond to Data Subject Access Requests within 30 (thirty) days of their receipt unless extended by 60 (sixty) days, taking into account their complexity and number;
If we asked you to pay a $10 fee, the time limit for responding to the request begins once you have paid the fee.
